Description

The Semien Mountain Massive is one of the major highlands of Africa and contains one of the highest peaks in the continent, Ras Dashen. These eroded mountains rise dramatically out of several major plateau featuring deep valleys and sharp precipices that drop around 1,500 meters. They are also the only place in the country that will regularly get snow in winter.
