Description

One of the few remaining natural forests in Ethiopia, Harenna Forest lies at the foot of a 1,200-meter escarpment in the Bale Mountains National Park. The forest has a large population of mammals, amphibians and birds. Lions and wild dogs, although relatively unseen, are also found in this forest and it is well known as the home of the Bale Monkey.
