Day 1: Arrival - Sightseeing Addis (The new Flower)
Welcome to Ethiopia! You will be met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel. Refresh and begin your sightseeing of Addis with a drive up to mount Entoto for a panoramic view of Addis. Descend down and drive to the National Museum where you will have a chance to spot the oldest hominids of ‘Lucy’ fossil. Visit and proceed to the Holy Trinity built during the WWII. Then proceed to the Ethnographic Museum, which used to be the palace of Emperor Hailesellase. Overnight in Addis at Magnolia Hotel.
Day 2: Addis Ababa - Goba Town
You will drive to Bale Mountains National Park about 450 km form Addis about 5 hour drive. In the afternoon, you will visit the Gezzay area and the park headquarters Dinsho. Then you will be able to see a number of Ethiopian endemic mammals and birds. You will stay overnight at Wabi Shebelle Hotel in Goba Town the nearby town of the NP.
Day 3; Bale Mountain National Park
You will have a morning drive for full day excursion at the Sanetti Plateau fauna and flora. The endemic Ethiopian wolf is the target of the day, bird life, and amazing landscape including the second highest mountain in Ethiopia, Mount Tulu Dimtu. Overnight will be at Wabi Shebelle Hotel.
Day 4; Bale Mountain National Park-Awassa
After breakfast you will start heading to Awassa. Visit Lake Awassa and the colorful Fish Market. The bird life on the lakeshore is amazing. Overnight will be at Haile or Lewi Resort.
Day 5: Hawasa- Senkelle Swayne's Hartebeest Sanctuary and Wondogenet hot spring water
Drive to 44 kilometers away west from Awasa town to the Senkele Swayne’s Hartebeest Sanctuary just to see endemic and endangered antelope species called Swayne’s hartebeests and other wild animals including Bohor, reedbucks, greater kudus, orbis antelopes, spotted hyenas, serval, civet cats, caracals, warthogs, and common jackals as well as 91 species of bird. Then back to Awasa town and on the way you will go to some 15 km from the junction to Awasa town Wondogenet hot spring water and back to Awasa town for an overnight stay at Haile or Lewi Resort.
Day 6: Awassa - Tiya - Addis Ababa
Drive to Addis Ababa via Buta Jira (275 km from Awasa to Addis about 4 hour drive) just to visit the standing stone of Tiya stela. And overnight in Addis or depart to your home country depending on your international flight…
